How do I get to the hall?

You will find us at Sørmarkveien 20, 4019 Stavanger.

We encourage everyone to cycle, walk or use public transport to reach us. Several buses run from Stavanger city centre to Vår Energi Arena Sørmarka. The nearest stop is Sørmarka Arena.

From Auglendsdalen, cross the bridge over the motorway. From Grannes, Ullandhaug, Madla and Hinna, the route goes through the idyllic Sørmarka countryside.

Frequently asked questions

Yes of course! Many people do that. It is easy to get to know others with us, especially when you do an activity with others.

If you feel alone, or have lost your friends, you can always come back to the Meeting Square and contact a member of staff.

If you were born in 2013 or earlier, you can attend without an adult as long as you have permission from your parents/guardians.

If you were born after 2013, you must come with an accompanying adult (aged 18 or over) who can look after you while you visit us. Accompanying adults are admitted free of charge.

An accompanying adult is someone who has reached the age of 18, and who is responsible for the children in their care.

Accompanying adults are admitted free of charge.

Max two companions per child.

Folkehallene reserves the right to intervene if we consider that an accompanying adult is not fulfilling their responsibility towards the child.

Other, non-accompanying adults who come with children and want to use the facilities pay NOK 95 for admission – or use a regular punch card or a Folkekort membership card.

The activities are not intended for adults who want to come alone, but only for children and families.

Folkehallene are there for everyone, and we will be happy to help you find an activity that suits just you. Our facility is universally designed, for further details, see tilgjengelighet.no

We have a summer kiosk selling reasonably priced food and drinks. Ice cream is important in the summer, so we have bought a lot of it! We have a lot of things that are healthy and tasty, and some that are just tasty! Fruit, water, soft drinks, hot dogs, sandwiches, noodles and snacks. And we have Slurp (slush)!

You may also bring your own food and drinks.

You can pay with cash or a payment card.
No, you do not need to book a ticket or seat. Just turn up whenever you want during opening hours.
There is no limit to how many times you can visit us. Come as often as you want!

We have drawn up a set of rules to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience when they visit us:

Everyone should feel safe and have fun.
Therefore, we expect all our visitors to be considerate and think of others at all times. We do not want you to injure yourself or others.

Only use equipment and apparatus for its intended purpose.
Do not use if for anything else. Climbing is only permitted on climbing walls and obstacle courses. Treat any equipment that you borrow with care. Do not collide with equipment or other guests with scooters, skateboards or similar. If you are not sure whether you can do something or not, ask a member of staff.

We do not tolerate any violence, damage, vandalism, theft, fighting, bullying or threats.

  • The same applies to shoving, barging and general poor behaviour.
  • Unwanted behaviour will result in expulsion from the facility.
  • Repeated misbehaviour will result in permanent exclusion.
  • Violations of the law will be reported to the police.

Summer in the Folkehallene arenas is not a place to just to “hang out” this summer, it is a place for physical activity and fun.

  • To make sure that everyone feels safe, do not gather in large groups when you are not taking part in activities. This can be uncomfortable for other guests.
  • When you have finished your activity, feel free to take a break. It’s nice to leave the hall to others once you have finished what you are doing.
